The time for building your web site depends
on factors like your internet connection speed, the volume and appropriateness
of the web site’s contents.
If you have your content ready to be uploaded (pictures, logo images,
text) then a basic web site can be ready in approximately 30 minutes

I am in a hurry; can I have my site quickly?
The creation time of a SiteCosmos web
site is proportional to the site’s complexity and extent.
You can create a basic web site in a few minutes activating and
using only a few of the provided modules. The rest of the modules
can be left deactivated and for future use. With SiteCosmos, activating
and deactivating modules thus changing the structure of your site
is completely dynamic and amazingly easy. Note that whenever you
deactivate a module, its content is not lost; you can reactivate
it at any time.

How can I save the content I just added or updated?
The content you add and the modifications
you make in a module is saved when you click on the “Next”
button and move to the next step.
The content you add will not be saved if you choose to navigate
from one module to another by clicking on the left panel links of
the Online Web Development Wizard.

Is my web site’s content safely stored? What is the security
level of the system?
The system has a high level security but
even the highest security levels achieved by latest technologies
do not and can not guarantee that systems are fully secure, and
do not have any security holes within.

Can I upload any image I want no matter how big it is?
There are no restrictions to the images
you may upload to your web site. Nevertheless, we strongly recommend
you to upload images with the suggested dimensions and size.
Most of the SiteCosmos modules will try to resize unsuitable images
by stretching or skewing them so that the page’s structure
will remain intact. This may cause the images to be distorted and
the overall appearance of the web site not optimum.
Furthermore, very large (in memory size) images are difficult to
upload and moreover they will make your web site slower to access.
Therefore, we suggest that you upload only internet optimized images
to your web site.
But our suggestion is to follow the values in
the according pages. Because uploading images with unnecessary sizes
will increase the total file sizes and ultimately cause delays when
users try to view your site.

Can I rename the SiteCosmos modules?
You can rename the modules of your web
site at any time and at will. As your custom names will appear also
in your web site (as the pages titles), we limited their length
to 15 characters to ensure that the design and structure of your
web pages remain intact.

How can I optimize my images for internet use?
You can access all the help you need by
"Image Optimization" links in the pages that you
need to upload images.

Apart from images, can I also upload files like word documents,
excel sheets or PDF?
In certain modules there is a “Files
Uploading Manager” that allows you to upload any file you
want except image files (for security reasons) Image files can be
uploaded through the “Images Uploading Manager”.

Does the “Images Uploading Manager” support only specific
image formats?
You can upload all known image formats
like .bmp, .jpg, .gif and .tiff. Nevertheless, we recommend you
to use the .jpg format for multi-color and multi-pattern images
and the .gif format for simple and vector drawings. Images of these
formats are compressed thus smaller in memory size, making your
site achieve better loading times.

Can I use HTML codes in text areas?
You can use HTML codes in text areas if
you have sufficient knowledge about HTML.

Is
there a limit to the number of files and images I can upload?
No, you can upload as many images or files
as you want to your site. There are no restrictions about this matter.
SiteCosmos is the only internet service that offers unlimited
disk space and bandwidth.

Can I update my site whenever I want?
Sure… one of the biggest conveniences
of the system is exactly this. You can update your site whenever
you want through the Online Wizard. You can activate or deactivate
languages; activate and deactivate modules; choose different design
templates; add, delete or update the content and all that without
having to take your web site offline.

Do I need any special programming or other knowledge in order to
create my web site?
With SiteCosmos you don’t need to
have any technical knowledge or skill. You just need to be acquainted
with using a web browser and your pc (for locating and uploading
images mostly but also for creating your images and texts) and to
have the patience and willingness to experiment with all the templates
and functionalities that SiteCosmos offers in order to achieve building
the web site you envisage.

Can I have my web site in multiple languages?
You can publish your site in seven different
languages: English, French, German, Greek, Italian, Spanish and
Turkish. You can add different content and use different designs
for each language.
Furthermore, you can activate and deactivate the languages of your
web site easily and dynamically.

Can I choose the language that visitors will see when they initially
enter my web site?
Yes, you can designate the primary language
of your web site through the “Language Selection” Module
available in all SiteCosmos Solutions. The primary language will
be the one that your visitors will see upon entering your web site,
so make sure to choose the one that you predict to be the most commonly
used.

Can I have some kind of interaction with my web site’s visitors?
Yes, SiteCosmos offers you a variety of

You can provide contact data allowing people to communicate with
you. Available in SMECosmos, ArchiCosmos, ArtsCosmos, FoodCosmos,
WedCosmos and BabyCosmos.
- Mailing List Module.
Allow people to submit their e-mail addresses to your list. Afterwards,
if you wish, you can get in touch with them. Available in SMECosmos,

StudentCosmos and BabyCosmos. A very handy and efficient tool to
conduct database marketing / direct mail activities.
- Guest Book Module.
An effective way to allow your visitors to get in touch with you.
Through the Module you can administer (post at web site, archive
or delete) all submitted messages. Available in MediCosmos, PoliticsCosmos,
WedCosmos, StudentCosmos and BabyCosmos.
- Feedback Module.
Allow people to send you a greeting message or their opinion through
a special feedback form. Access and manage (post at web site, archive
or delete) their messages through this module. Available in SMECosmos,
ArchiCosmos, ArtsCosmos, and FoodCosmos.
- Appointments Module.
This module offers your visitors the ability to request an appointment
with you. You can access and administer their requests through the
Online Web Site Development and Maintenance Tool. Additionally,
an automatic email will be send to an e-mail address of your choice
so that you will get informed every time you have an appointment
request. Available in MediCosmos.
- Reservations Module.
You can use this module to let your visitors make reservations.
Additionally, you can let your customers know your hours of operation

What do I need to start building my web site?
You only need a Pentium II equivalent
or higher computer with a web browser (I.E. 5.0 and above), an internet
connection and of course a SiteCosmos Solution Membership.

Where will my site be hosted?
Your web site will be primarily hosted
in our secure central Data Center located in Frankfurt / Germany.
Static pages will also be hosted in an Internet Service Provider
located somewhere in your region in order to balance the bandwidth
used and optimize access and loading times of your web site.

Can I redirect my domain name and have my own web address instead
of using the default web address that you provide me?
Yes! You will find all necessary information
for redirecting your domain name to our servers in the “e-mail
and domain” guide available in all SiteCosmos Solutions.

To help you, we offer you a really effective
and powerful “Search Engine Submission Tool”. Your Web
Site will be submitted to hundreds, including all major, search
engines and you will get the millions of people out there, looking

module that is available in every SiteCosmos Solution.

The
email payment receipt I received from PaySystems is not sufficient;
can you send me a more detailed invoice?
Yes, we can send you a more detailed
email invoice to your Member's email
address within two business days. You will have to email us at
info@sitecosmos.com specifically asking
for a detailed invoice and providing
us with your Personal Data, the Order ID (provided by PaySystems), your Tax
Registration Code (if needed) and every other additional information you
need to have written on the invoice.
